Eight ways to open, from night to dawn.

Eight genuinely different openings — different structures, different stories. Each one is shown as three frames: the instant the page loads, the moment the headline is readable, and the end of the opening, when the visitor has scrolled from night to dawn. Click any frame to see it large; use the arrow keys to step through.

  • 0 sThe first frame. No loading screen — the wow starts here.
  • 5 s“Business in Full Bloom.” is readable while the scene still moves.
  • DawnThe end of the scroll. The full bloom is saved for here.

About the frames. The night frames are AI mood frames. The image budget ran out after 17 images, so most dawn frames are quick three.js renders made in code — plainer than the night frames. Please judge the idea, not the polish. Every frame says where it came from.

01

One Thread

All the loose ends are one thread. Pull it straight, and it grows.

Structure
One object in the dark. The camera stays with a single thread from first frame to last.
The bloom
The straightened thread branches, like a real stem, and opens into a crown of light.
0 sA huge knot of light turns slowly in the dark. One end snaps free into a taut line.AI mood frame
5 sThe line runs taut across the screen, the knot loosening behind it. The headline sits in the dark above.AI mood frame · headline and nav added
DawnThe one thread has branched, again and again, into a crown that catches the first light.three.js render

On load, a dense knot of fibre-optic light — every task tangled into every other — turns slowly in the dark, and within two seconds one end snaps out into a perfectly straight line. As you scroll, the knot unravels along that line: small knots of routine slide off and vanish, and one that won't come loose is lifted aside in a white ring for a person to decide. Then the clean line starts to branch, precisely, the way a real stem does, until at dawn it opens into a crown of light. It says: your messy work is one thread we can pull straight, and growth branches from a clean line.

The scroll

  1. The knot loosens; the line pulls more thread out of it.
  2. Small knots slide along the line and dissolve — the routine, handled.
  3. One snag is lifted out and held in a white ring, waiting for a decision.
  4. The clean line forks, then forks again, as the sky turns blue.
  5. Sunrise: the branches open into a full crown.
02

Out of the Circle

Routine is going in circles. We turn the circles into forward motion.

Structure
Looking up into the sky. As you scroll, the camera tilts down to the horizon.
The bloom
The straightened trails meet at the sunrise and rise into an opening fan.
0 sYou look straight up: star trails draw themselves in circles, live, like a long-exposure photograph.AI mood frame
5 sThe headline sits in the calm centre the circles turn around. The camera has begun to tilt.AI mood frame · headline and nav added
DawnThe circles have straightened into streaks that run to the sunrise, then rise and open.three.js render

The first thing you see is the night sky as a long-exposure photograph: hundreds of star trails circling the pole star, drawing themselves in real time — instantly beautiful, and instantly familiar as the feeling of going round in circles. Scrolling breaks the circles: the arcs straighten into parallel streaks, the camera tilts down to the horizon, and the streaks run forward over the dark land by themselves; one stops short and waits, lit white, for a person. At dawn they all meet at the rising sun and lift into the sky in an opening fan. It says: we take the work out of its loop and point it forward — calm, natural and exact.

The scroll

  1. The circles spin faster, then one by one break open.
  2. The arcs straighten into parallel streaks; the camera tilts down.
  3. One streak stops short and glows white until someone decides.
  4. The streaks run over the land toward a thin orange horizon.
  5. Sunrise: every streak meets the sun and rises as a fan.
03

The Aperture

A sealed, precise mechanism. Scroll, and it opens to the light.

Structure
One machined object, face on. At the end you fly through it, like a portal.
The bloom
The iris opens fully onto the morning — closed becomes open.
0 sA sealed iris of black metal blades. Light blazes around its rim, like a total eclipse.AI mood frame
5 sThe iris turns and ticks; signals run round its ring. The headline sits to its left.AI mood frame · headline and nav added
DawnFully open: the ring frames a wide sunrise, and the camera flies through into it.AI mood frame

The page opens on a total eclipse: a perfect black iris, sealed shut, with orange light blazing around its rim and through the hairline seams between its blades. As you scroll, the blades turn open a little at a time; halfway, the whole mechanism lifts apart into a slow exploded view — every blade, pin and ring in its place — while one small part is set aside and lit white for a person to check, then everything settles back and keeps opening. At dawn the iris is fully open and the camera flies through it into the morning sky, which becomes the rest of the site. It says: many precise parts, working together, open up room to grow — these people build serious, exact things.

The scroll

  1. The blades rotate open a few degrees; light pours through the gap.
  2. Halfway: the mechanism lifts apart into an exploded view, every part visible.
  3. One part floats out, lit white, until it is checked.
  4. The parts click back together and the iris keeps opening.
  5. Dawn: fully open; the camera passes through into the light.
04

After Hours

Your business, working late. Then the work moves by itself, the lights go out, and it grows.

Structure
A tabletop architectural model. The camera starts in one window and pulls back.
The bloom
At sunrise the buildings grow: new floors fan open from the roofs.
0 sInside one lit window of a scale model: a tiny figure at a desk, buried in paper.AI mood frame
5 sThe camera has pulled back: a whole main street — office, workshop, warehouse — lit late.AI mood frame · headline and nav added
DawnMorning light. Orange threads run under the street; the buildings have grown new floors.three.js render (clay)

We open inside a single lit window of a museum-quality model — a tiny figure hunched over a desk at one in the morning — and in three seconds the camera pulls back to reveal a whole small main street: an accountant's office, a trades workshop, a parcel warehouse, every window still on. As you scroll, fine orange threads light up under the street, papers start travelling between the buildings by themselves, and the windows go dark one by one as people go home; one small lamp stays on where a person has a single decision to make. At dawn, low sun rakes across the model and the buildings grow: new floors fan open from the roofs, terraces appear, and the little figures stand outside in the light. Of the eight, it speaks most directly to the visitor: this is your business, without the night shift, and with room to grow.

The scroll

  1. Orange threads light up under the street, linking the three buildings.
  2. Invoices and price lists travel along them by themselves.
  3. Windows go dark one by one as people go home.
  4. One small lamp stays on: one decision for one person.
  5. Sunrise rakes across the model; new floors fan open.

First Light

Thousands of small pieces, aligned by one precise system, catch the dawn together.

Structure
A vast landscape. The camera skims low at night and rises high above at dawn.
The bloom
From above, the field turns out to be a golden spiral, like a sunflower head.
0 sNight over a field of mirrors. One orange beam ricochets from mirror to mirror toward a tower.AI mood frame
5 sMore beams find their way; the mirrors begin to tilt in waves. The headline sits in the sky.AI mood frame · headline and nav added
DawnFrom above: every mirror turned to the sun in a golden spiral; the tower blazes like a second sun.three.js render

At night we skim low over a vast field of mirrors that reflect the stars, while a single orange beam ricochets from mirror to mirror toward a slender tower — work being passed along by itself. Scrolling sends more beams across the field and sets the mirrors tilting in waves, row by row, until one stubborn mirror is left out of line and ringed in white for a person to check. As the sun clears the horizon every mirror turns to catch it, the camera rises, and the field reveals itself as a golden spiral — the pattern of a sunflower head — with thousands of beams meeting at a tower that blazes like a second sun. It says: each small piece of your business, aligned by one precise system, adds up to something powerful.

The scroll

  1. More beams set off; the mirrors tilt in waves, row by row.
  2. One mirror stays out of line, ringed in white, until someone checks it.
  3. The horizon pales; the first sunlight touches the field.
  4. Every mirror turns to the sun and throws it at the tower.
  5. The camera rises: a golden spiral, and a tower blazing at its heart.
06

From the Right Angle

The mess is all the same pieces. Seen from the right angle, they line up.

Structure
A cloud of pieces in real depth. The camera hunts for the exact spots where they align.
The bloom
The last alignment holds the rising sun — the full picture, finally clear.
0 sThousands of scraps — invoices, receipts, price lists, glass — drift in the dark.AI mood frame
5 sThe camera finds one exact spot, and the pieces snap into a perfect ring.AI mood frame · headline and nav added
DawnFrom the final viewpoint, the pieces hold the rising sun.AI frame over a three.js sky

The opening is a storm of paperwork frozen in mid-air — torn invoices, receipt strips, sticky notes, shards of glass — and within three seconds the camera glides to one exact point where, with a soft click, hundreds of them line up into a perfect ring of light. As you scroll, the camera moves and the ring falls back into depth (it was real 3D all along), then the pieces snap into the next picture — a single flowing line, then a branching stem — while one scrap refuses to fit and floats forward, outlined in white, for a person to decide. At dawn, from the final viewpoint, the pieces hold the rising sun. It says: nothing in your business has to be thrown away — seen from the right angle, it already fits.

The scroll

  1. The camera moves; the ring breaks back into scattered depth.
  2. Click: the pieces align into one flowing line.
  3. One scrap won't fit; it floats forward, outlined in white.
  4. Click: a branching stem, as the dark turns blue.
  5. The last viewpoint: the pieces frame the sunrise.
07

Start to Finish

One push, and the whole chain runs by itself. A person steps in only where it stops.

Structure
A vast floor of standing tiles. The camera rides the cascade front and rises.
The bloom
A ring of monumental tiles falls outward, like something opening.
0 sLow on a black floor, a cascade of tiles races toward you, each turning orange as it falls.AI mood frame
5 sThe cascade splits and runs away into the dark along branching paths.AI mood frame · headline and nav added
DawnFrom above: branching orange paths, each step a little bigger, and a giant ring falling open.three.js render

A cascade is already running when the page loads: thousands of thin, machined black tiles fall toward the camera in a perfectly even wave, each revealing a bright orange face as it lands, with a crisp, satisfying sound. As you scroll, the camera rises and follows the cascade as it splits along branching paths like stems, every tile a little bigger than the last; at one fork the run stops, a single tile is lifted and ringed in white, and the visitor's own click — a person deciding — lets it carry on. At dawn, seen from above, the fallen tiles have painted a vast branching pattern across the floor, and a ring of monumental tiles falls outward like something opening. It says: start to finish, without asking anyone — except where a person should decide.

The scroll

  1. The wave passes the camera; the camera lifts to follow it.
  2. The paths branch like stems, each tile a little bigger than the last.
  3. At one fork the run stops; one click from the visitor lets it go on.
  4. The floor brightens; the paths reach the centre.
  5. Sunrise: the ring of giant tiles falls outward, all at once.

The Loom

Weaving was one of the first automated crafts. Your routine, woven by itself into something strong.

Structure
A machine at work, then the architecture it makes. The camera pulls back and looks up.
The bloom
The fabric lifts into a tensile canopy, and the sunrise glows through it.
0 sClose on a loom of light: a shuttle streaks through thousands of taut threads.AI mood frame (cropped)
5 sThe camera pulls back: orange fabric grows, row after perfectly even row.AI mood frame · headline, nav and shade added
DawnThe fabric has lifted into a tensile canopy, glowing with the sunrise.three.js render

The page opens close on a loom made of light: thousands of taut silver threads, a shuttle streaking through them, and behind it orange fabric forming row after perfectly even row. Scrolling lets the loom run by itself — the routine, woven without anyone touching it — until a thread breaks: the shuttle stops, the broken end is lifted and lit white for a person to tie, and then it runs again. The fabric lifts off the loom and stretches over cables and masts into a tensile canopy, and at dawn the sunrise glows through its weave. It borrows a true story — the Jacquard loom, run by punched cards, was one of the first programmable machines — and says: your routine, woven by itself into something that shelters growth.

The scroll

  1. The shuttle flies; the fabric grows by itself, perfectly even.
  2. A thread breaks: the shuttle stops and the end glows white for someone to tie.
  3. The loom runs again; the fabric lifts off the rollers.
  4. It stretches over masts and cables into a canopy overhead.
  5. Sunrise: the light comes through the weave.
